LEADING EDGE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME
The Partnership aims to set specific learning challenges (mini-projects) that are designed to facilitate real sharing of knowledge and expertise in effective classroom practice between practitioners. This requires us to develop projects that aim to achieve one or more of the following.
- INCREASED PUPIL ENGAGEMENT
- INCREASED PUPIL ATTAINMENT
- ADVANCEMENT OF TEACHER KNOWLEDGE / EXPERTISE
The gains (pupil engagement and attainment) need to be clearly specified and the areas for teacher advancement identified.
Partnership schools need to:
- Plan opportunities to bring key partnership staff together.
- Set SMART TARGETS (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound).
- Agree methodology for each target.
- Identify key staff for each learning challenge (specific roles/responsibilities)
- Identify specific groups of pupils who will benefit.
- Consider how are we going to measure raised pupil attainment and aspirations.
- Plan ways in which the views of staff, pupils and parents are systematically sought and recorded, and that they are used to shape the future course of partnership planning.
- Agree ways in which each learning challenge and the overall program can be evaluated.
- Consider how to share outcomes across the whole partnership.
- Plan and develop a Partnership website.
