6th Form
Guru Nanak Secondary will continue to work towards providing the best possible facilities for its students. Obviously these improved facilities will be of great benefit to the school's Sixth Form Students.
The School has acquired a new grant of £15 million from the DfES to develop the expansion of the School.

The School's high standards have enabled it to win a school achievement award and the glowing 2003 Ofstcd inspection report confirms that 'Sixth Form Teaching was good throughout and the learning matched this. Learning is consistently good and support by teachers' high expectations and the help given to individuals in all subjects.

We see Sixth formers as role models for the rest of the school and expect them to lead by example. They do this most effectively by:
- Working hard and utilising their private study time effectively, helping younger children to improve their academic performance especially in the basic skills.
- Conducting themselves around the school in a highly mature and responsible way
- Keeping withn the Sikh principles which includes respect for parents, other adults, other religions and of God.
As a school and a teaching staff, our aim is to help the development of young people in our Sixth Form so that they come to regard themselves as key members of an exciting new school. We hope that all of our students will wish to utilize fully the qualities of good teaching provided by the school staff so that they are able to realize their aspirations of moving on to further and higher education, ultimately to become successfully contributing citizens in whatever is their chosen profession as well being modem citizens in society.
Please contact the school for a copy of our full prospectus.
