Our MLE  programme is now up and running.                  

At Guru Nanak Sikh Primary School, ICT has always been a very important focus.  In line with the DCSF (Department for Children, Schools and Families) ICT strategy, to further harness the use of technology for learning, we have launched our own school’s Managed Learning Environment (MLE)-  your child learning through a managed internet based environment from your home computer, powered by Fronter software.

Our MLE is a virtual school, managed by teachers, that matches our physical school building e.g. Classrooms, Subject rooms, Library etc.

Through our MLE, your child will be able to learn at their own pace by accessing lesson materials, activities and other resources to enhance their in-school learning, in turn creating a bridge between home and school.

We plan that by the end of the Summer term 2010, all children will have access to their MLE School classrooms. Other parts of our virtual school, such as Subject rooms will be gradually introduced during 2010.

We hope that our MLE School will motivate your child to extend their learning beyond the school.
